2011年度北海道大学の入試です。
出題年度は古いですが、
テレワークが進む社会において
家庭内での家事負担が
見直される段階にあると思い、
今回これを扱います。
受験生が、社会の動きを
きちんと見ているかが知れる
問題にもなるかと思います。
問題文は以下のように
なっています。
Will stay-at-home dads
become common in Japan?
State your opinion in
70-100 words. Include
examples or reasons that
support your opinion.
You may use words and
ideas from the text, but
you must not copy
complete sentences.
・・・希望的観測の立場で
「日本で専業主夫は増える！」
と作ってもよいのですが・・・
残念ながら否定的な答案を
作る方が材料がそろって
いるので・・・
今回はこう考えました
日本で専業主夫は増えないだろう
理由１：女性がフルタイムで
働き、家族を養えるだけの稼ぎが
必要になるが、社会全体として
まだそうなっていない
理由２：男性が家事・育児を
引き受けるにはさまざまな
スキルが必要になる。男性の
多くはそのタスクに取り組む
準備がまだできていない
I don' think the number
of stay-at-home dads will
increase in Japan because,
first of all, many women
working full-time in many
workplaces in Japan find
it hard to earn enough
much to support their
family. Male workers are
less likely to quit their
jobs unless their wives
can earn more. Next,
stay-at-home dads will
have to acquire various
skilles for doing housework
and taking care of family
members. Sadly, only a small
number of many Japanese
dads are prepared to take
over the responsibility to
manage their house
effectively.
