今回は2024年度入試
九州大学を扱います。
少子化が日本社会にもたらす
よい変化を２つ、それぞれが
どんな影響を日本社会や
日常生活に与えるかと共に、
100語程度の英文で
書きなさい
という指示です。
自由英作文といえば、
10年ほど前は
「手紙と電子メール、
どっちがいいですか」とか
「あなたの好きな季節を
理由と共に述べなさい」とか、
なんともユル～イテーマが
よく出されていましたが、
昨今は受験生にもしっかり
社会参加意識というか、
問題意識を持たせるように
していますね。
とてもよい傾向だと思います。
受験生やその周囲の
大人たちには、こう言いたい。
大学に行って○○を勉強したい、
だけではなくて、
その先を考えてほしい。
資格をとりたい、
○○になりたい、
だけではなくて、
社会でどう生きていくかを
考えてほしい。
話がそれましたが、
今回書いてみた英文が
以下のとおりです。
少子化のメリットとして
挙げたのはこれです。
①学校では一クラスあたりの
生徒数が減り、
教員にとっても生徒にとっても
集中しやすい環境になる。
②人口が減るとエネルギー
消費も減少するので、
環境への負荷が軽くなる。
One positive effect is that
schools will become better
places for students.
When the population of
Japan gets smaller, the
number of students in one
class will be smaller.
Along with advance in
information technology,
teachers feel easier
in managing their
students. Schools with
fewer students will be
places for students to
concentrate on studying.
The other positive effect
is that the impact on
the natural environment
will be smaller. When the
population of Japan gets
smaller, people will need
less energy. For instance,
with the Internet and e-mails
more popular, people have
used less paper, which
can lead to avoiding deforestation.
