今回は東京学芸大学2020（英語選修）の
自由英作文を扱います。
「人間をレンタルするサービスが
人気を博していることについて、
あなたの考えを200語程度の英語で
書きなさい。」
というお題でした。
教育系志望じゃないからいいや・・・
という方！
食わず嫌いはいけません！
東京学芸大学はすばらしい出題を
してくれます！
むしろこんなに独創的なサービスを
題材にもってくるあたり、社会を
見つめる目の確かさを英語の運用力と
ともに尋ねるというハイレベルな
意図さえも感じられます！
これはぜひ書いてみるべきです！
さて今回私は、人間をレンタルする
サービスを利用する側の状況と、
さらにそのサービスを提供している
演者側の状況について述べてみました。
サービスを利用する側の需要は
変化しています。
昔なら結婚式に招く縁者の数が
両家で釣り合わないのはおかしい
から・・・ということで人間を
雇ってまでも数を揃えるということを
やっていたようですが、今では
大きな披露宴をやって見栄を張る
時代ではなくなりました。
それよりも現在は、人口減の影響か、
なかなか腹を割って相談する相手を
みつけるのが難しくなりました。
親や兄弟姉妹にも、相談したくない
ことだってあるでしょう。
その時、お金を払ってでも悩みを
聞いてもらえる人がいたら、
心が軽くなるでしょう。相談内容は、
親や兄弟姉妹に知られたくないこと
である可能性もあります。
お金を払って、割り切った人間関係を
持つことも時には必要かもしれません。
一方で、演技をする側の人間に
とっても、各種の式に呼ばれなくなると
自分の演技を磨く場面が減って
しまいます。
彼らもまた、個人的な需要に応える
ことによって日常生活で依頼主を
相手に演技をする訓練ができますし、
同時に依頼主を助けることにも
なるのです。
このサービスは、双方を幸せにする
サービスだといえるでしょう。
I think it very interesting
to hire a person in order to

of young couples want

young adults don't always

will have to find someone
who can help you and
at the same time who can
keep your secret. It is easier
to look for such a person

actors/actresses rather than
among your acquaintances.
On the other hand,
to professional personl
actors/actresses, the changes
in this business will be
welcomed. If ceremonies
become simpler and
the offers to attend those
ceremonies decrease,
then performers will have to
find more opportunities to
practice acting. They can train
themselves by applying for
the personal offer and putting
on an expected act, which
means at the same time that
they can help those who are
in trouble. This service can be
said to make both sides happy,
clients and performers.
