2022年浜松医科大学・医学部で

出題された英作文のお題です。

問は二つあります。

１）What does diversity mean to you?

２）Why do you believe diversity will or will not be important to the future success of Japan?

答案はおそよ100語で、

問のそれぞれに一段落ずつ

答える形の2段落構成。

段落と段落の間には一行空けること。

↑構成指示までくれるので親切！　

とても書きやすいと思いました！

書く内容としては

「日本が将来発展していく

ためには多様性への寛容が重要だと思う」

立場で、かつ

「将来医師を目指す人材としての目線」も

盛り込みたいですね。

このように書いてみました。

参考になれば幸いです。

   What diversity means to me

is to communicate with

much more people with

a more flexible attitude

through understanding

a wide variety of backgrounds. 

This type of communication

skill is indispensable to me. 

In order to become a doctor

and contribute to society,

a generous attitude without bias

is necessary to get more

information from patients.  

   I think diversity will be

important in Japan, because

in the future Japan will have to

accept more and more foreigners.

 When foreigners in Japan

have some health problems,

doctors will have to respond

properly to them.  Whatever

background each patient

may have, communicating

honestly with many different

people will surely lead to

improvement of the level of

medical care in Japan.   

【2022信州・経法】満足したお買い物と、その理由

今回は2022年信州大学（経法）で

出題された英作文のお題です。

長文に添えられた設問の一つに、

以下の問があります。

Think about some products

you have bought that you

were satisfied with. 

Choose one and give

specific reasons why

you were satisfied with

your purchase.  Write your

answer in English in

the space provided.  

指定語数は明記されていませんが、

おそらく８０～１００語です。

受験生になじみがある物品が

いいかなと思い、シャーペンを

題材に選んで書いてみました。

Of what I have bought,

I am satisfied with one

mechanical pencil.  The

mechanical pencil is not

so popular.  But I am so

satisfied with this mechanical

pencil.  I have two reasons

why I love this mechanical

pencil.  One is that this

mechanical pencil is light

and easy to write with. 

It is true that some people

prefer a heavier pen, but

it is hard for me to write

with a heavy pen for a long

time.  The other reason is

that this mechanical pencil

is slim.  Actually, my pencase

is not so big, and I prefer

slimmer pens.  (99wds)

【2022京都府立医科大学】図書館のオンラインサービスを拡充すべきか否か

コロナ禍が過ぎつつあり、

社会のあちこちで

いろいろな変化が起きています。

従来の姿に戻ろうとする変化、

コロナ禍をきっかけに

従来とは異なる姿に

なろうとする変化。

そのどちらもが、

社会にとって必要な変化でしょう。

今回あつかうのは

2022年京都府立医科大学で

出題されたテーマ。

「公立図書館が、

オーディオブックや電子書籍などを

提供するオンラインサービスを

導入しつつある。そのサービスを

拡充すべきかどうか、

メリットとデメリットを1つずつ

挙げて英語で述べよ。」

という内容です。

語数は200語程度と指示があります。

構想は・・・

「デジタルサービスを拡大すべき」

の立場から考えました。

メリットは、

図書館に行けない事情が

ある人も利用しやすくなる。

図書館から持ち出すことが

できない本も容易に

読むことができる。

自宅が遠くて移動手段を

持たない人、

メンタル上の問題で

外に出るのが辛い人も

図書館のコンテンツを

利用できるようになる。

端末があれば様々な本を

読むことができ、

教育レベルの向上に

つながる。

デメリットは、

データを不正に複製され

ないような手段を講じる

必要がある。本を借りる通常の

手続きに比べると、

パスワードの設定や更新など、

オンラインサービスを受ける

ための準備が

面倒になるだろう。

英文にしてみました。

デメリットよりも、

メリットについて言及する

部分が多くなっています。

I think that Japanese public libraries should expand their online services.   One of the advantages is that more people can use public libraries more easily.  If the online services are more popular, we will be able to read valuable books online which are not allowed to take out of the libraries.  Moreover, the expansion of the public library online services will enable those who have difficulty using the public libraries to use the great contents which the public libraries have.  There are many different people who want to go to the public libraries but cannot easily go there.  For example, those who live far away from the public libraries and have no convenient means of transportation.  Those who have some problem on their mental health and feel depressed in going out.  These people can read a wide variety of difital contents by using their devices, which will lead to the improvement of their education.  On the other hand, one of the disadvantages is that we need to take some steps to avoid making illegal copies.  It will be more troublesome to decide a password and use online services than to borrow a book in a simple, conventional way.  

【2022東京学芸】英語学習における辞書の活用について

今回は2022年

東京学芸大学（英語）の第四問から。

まずお題はこうです。長い・・・

次の文章を読んで、英語学習に

おける辞書の活用について、

自身の経験も踏まえて

あなたの意見を200語程度の

英語で書きなさい。

英語の辞書には様々な種類が

あります。英和辞典、和英辞典、

英英辞典といったコンテンツの

違いだけでなく、紙の辞書、

電子辞書、オンライン辞書など、

媒体の違いもあります。
コンテンツの違いに関して

「英英辞典を使うと

（英和辞典を使うときよりも）

たくさん英語に触れることが

できるので、効率的に学習が

できてよい」と言う人がいたり、

媒体の違いについて、

「電子辞書よりは紙の辞書の方が

一度に様々な情報が目に

入ってくるので、ついでに他の

単語や表現を学習できる」

と言う人がいたりします。

また、いつ辞書を使うかに

ついては、「英語の文章を

読んでいるときに知らない

単語が出てきたら、すぐに

辞書を引くのではなく、

まずは文脈から単語の意味を

推測するクセをつけるべきだ」

という意見がある一方で、

「わからない単語が出てきたら、

すぐに辞書を引いてしまった方が、

英語の文章をスムーズに

読み進められるからよい」

と主張する人もいます。

やった！200語も書けるっ！と

思って楽しく書いてたら・・・

コンテンツの違いについて

述べ終えた時点で、

200語超えました・・・

削りましたがそれでも語数は

多くなってしまいました。

いいんです！

ここはあくまで

次からは語数の制限を

守ってみせるｗ

人によって辞書の使い方が

異なるのはごく当たり前の

ことである。

コンテンツの違いについて・・・

英語が苦手な人が英英辞書を

使うと、使いこなすのは難しい。

勉強するのに時間がかかると

英語に対して苦手意識が

高まってしまう。英和辞書で

勉強するほうが効率がよい。

英語が得意な人は英英辞書を

使った方が、英単語の微妙な

ニュアンスを知ることが

できるので、英作文を書く際に

文脈に合った表現を

用いることができるようになる。

媒体の違いについて・・・

一般的に紙の辞書は重くて

持ち歩くのに不都合。

すぐに意味を知りたい場合には

電子辞書が一番便利だろう。

オンライン辞書も

インターネット環境にあれば

とても便利だが、情報量が

多すぎて初級者にとっては

使いにくいと感じることも

あるかもしれない。

いつ使うかについて・・・

意味を推測するやり方の方が

英語の読解力がつくかもしれない。

しかし高校生はするべきことが

多いので、英語の長文読解に

あまり長い時間を

かけられない。

わからない単語が出てきたら

すぐに辞書を引き、

それを繰り返すことで

単語に出会う頻度を高めて

覚えていけばよい。

まず全体の内容を理解する

ことの方が大事だと思う。

答案「例」はこうなりました。

It is very common for people

in various situations to use

dictionaries differently. 

First of all, an English-English

dictionary seems hard to use

for students who are not

good at English.  I didn't use

an English-English dictionary

when I was a high school student,

but if I had used one, it would

have taken a lot more time

to study English.  For students

who are young and biginners

of English learning, it is better

to use an English-Japanese

dictionary.  On the other hand,

for students who like English

and want to study further,

it is better to use an

English-English dictionary

because they can understand

minute nuance of words

so that they can use suitable

words and expressions

in writing.  Next, a printed

dictionary is generally heavier

than an electronic dictionary. 

If a student wants to know

the meaning of a word quickly,

an electronic dictionary seems to

be best.  About when a

dictionary should be used

while reading, I think it is better

to consult a dictionary

on finding an unfamiliar word

to figure out the context. 

Certainly guessing the meanings

of unfamiliar words can help boost

English comprehension, but

many high school students are

so busy that using a dictionary

timely will surely help them

understand the story quickly.  

【2022福井大学医学部】若者の「 」離れ

出題を扱います。

設問は以下のとおりです。

社会に起きている現象を

「若者の〇〇離れ」という言葉で

表すことがあります。あなたは

どのような「若者の〇〇離れ」が

現在起きていると考えますか。

その現象が起きている理由や

背景とともにあなたの考えを

１１０～１２０語の英文で

述べなさい。

〇〇に入る言葉は、

なんにしましょうか？

「若者のテレビ離れ」

「若者のクルマ離れ」

「若者のギャンブル離れ」

「若者の映画離れ」

「若者のタバコ離れ」

　発想しやすい。

タバコの値段が上がっていること、

若者が使えるお金の額が

少なくなっていること、

タバコの健康への被害影響が

知られるようになったことが

原因。喫煙がもつイメージが、

かつてほど成熟した良いもので

なくなってきた。

この傾向はよい傾向だと思う。

タバコも酒も、若い時に始めると

やめるのが難しくなる。

タバコは吸っている人だけでなく、

周囲の人も不快な気分にするし

受動喫煙のリスクが生じる。

若者の間には清潔感を好む人が

多いので、タバコのにおいが

髪や服につくことを嫌う。

長期間の喫煙により歯の色が

悪くなることもある。

肺がんの大きな要因である

ことは言うまでもない。

がんは肺にとどまらず、

他の臓器にも広がることが

知られている。がんが体中に

広がると治療が難しくなる。

健康な生活を送るという観点から、

若者がタバコを吸わなく

なることは、タバコ産業に

とってはダメージかもしれないが、

とてもよい傾向だと思う。

people quit smoking. 

This trend is probably

due to the rising price of

tobacco, the decrease in

the amount of money

today's young people can

use freely, and the tobacco's

harm to health.  Now almost all

understand that smoking does

influence negatively our health. 

I think this trend is good. 

Smoking makes not only smokers

but also people around,

which can result in passive

smoking.  Needless to say,

smoking is a big factor

to cause lung cancer. 

It is known that cancer

can spread in other parts of

the body, which makes it

more difficult to cure cancer. 

From the viewpoint of

leading a healthy life, it is

really good for young people

to cease to smoke.  (116)
